Nutkins Nursery


Nutkins Nursery, which opened in September 2009, is based in the Pre-Prep department of Kingshott School. There is one class of 16 children at present with a Nursery Teacher and a Nursery Nurse.

At Nutkins Nursery we promote the Early Learning Goals so that children can fulfil their potential at this vital stage in their development and can make a confident and smooth transition to full time education.

Our aim is to ensure that children enjoy their Early Years' experiences in the care of skilful and sympathetic staff. We lay the foundations for your child's future success in a stimulating and caring environment.

Children are encouraged to play outside every day, with access to the school field during a timetabled play session, and a fenced off area accessible from the classroom to enable children to take their learning outside within nursery sessions.

The nursery room itself is a bright, colourful environment with space for the children to experience role play, creative activities, and to play and learn individually and in groups. Parents are encouraged to read the parents’ board in the nursery room to keep abreast of what is happening in Nutkins.

For parents needing wraparound care, Nutkins children can attend Breakfast Club before school, or After School Care, which is available until 5.30pm, with other children from the Pre-Prep.
